In case if more than one player gets same card which is lowest ranked, the suit of the card decided which player is going to start the game among them. Every player playing the game can raise the bet on their will or can raise or fold their card depending upon the cards they receive. This has to be done in a clockwise manner. After the first round gets over, one more card is distributed to every player with an open face. This card is known as the turn or the fourth street.
This time, a player who gets the highest ranked card starts the bet. Every player in the meantime is free to check or to increase the bet. After this round, another opened faced card named as river or the fifth street is distributed and a player having the highest ranked card starts betting. Similarly, after the seventh face down card is distributed to the remaining players, still in the race, the final round commences wherein the showdown begins and the players need to compare their hands to that of their opponents.
A player who has the strongest hand is given the entire amount and is declared as the winner. The Seven Card Stud poker game is a version of Stud poker game, which is one of the oldest poker games played. Although the popularity has decreased a bit after the introduction of more entertaining games like Hold’em, still the bluffing involved in the seven rounds of the game leaves all its players highly thrilled and thus they become eager to play and win at these rounds by taking another chance.
